We departed from Changi International Airport taking Qatar Airways with a stopover in Doha International Airport. After 3 hours, we continued our flight to Munich Airport (Flughafen München) ,Germany. Time difference: Germany is 7 hours behind Singapore.
We bought the S-Bahn Airport City Day Ticket (group up to 5 pax) from the ticket machine at the airport, which allows you to travel for a single day.
We took the train from Flughafen München Terminal to Munchen Hauptbahnhof/ central station.
We checked into Jaeger’s Hotel & Hostel, which is just a street away, about 5 mins walk with luggage.
We felt that it was more of a hostel instead of a hotel as there were no amenities provided in the room but you can purchase them at the counter or bring your own. As for the WiFi, the signal was strong but we were unable to use it. However, the staffs were friendly, the rooms are clean and had their own bar which guests are entitled to claim a free drink each.
As it was Winter, shops closes early hence we decided to visit the shopping areas before heading to the Christmas market.
We have also tried Gluehwein, a traditional German Christmas punch, the all time favourite Nutella banana crepe and currywurst.
We were tired from the flight and decided to rest for the day.
